Week 5

 1. The first thing I found important and interesting about this week's reading is how AI is changing the classrooms but it is changing for the better. I think it is nice that this allows students to learn at their own pace. All students dont learn as well the traditional way.           2. The second thing I found interesting is in the Blueprint of an AI Bill of Rights they mention how technology, data, as well as automated systems have been used in ways to threaten our rights. Which, I can understand because yes certain websites ask you to if you want to accept cookies but nobody really knows what all that means so they know that people will just click accept and I think that's wrong.  3. The last thing I found interesting is how Shutterstock and Getty have both collaborated with an AI startup to allow users to create their own pictures using text-to-image models. I'm not even sure what this is or means for the near future but I'm interested in seeing the outcome. 1. T

What is Digital Media?

One interesting thing I found about the IRL podcast is how Emoticons came about and how much they've transformed now. I most definitely wouldn't think they first came about in the 80s either, that seems pretty early to me. The second thing I find interesting is that "Gangnam Style" is the first Youtube video to reach a billion views, that one is shocking to me since the video came out in 2012 and there have been so many viral videos before that one but I guess just not as viral. The last thing I find interesting is what web 4.0 could even consist of, "The growing use of social media and mobile devices in this generation is distinctive". What we use now which is web 3.0 is already so advanced. I can relate to this quote by Sean Illing, "The algorithm thing is tricky to me.
